Rutgers University Partners with ConnectEdu to Deploy Connect!
Boston, Mass. – January 10, 2007 – ConnectEdu, a national provider of innovative college planning and admissions solutions, today announced its partnership with Rutgers University to deploy the Connect! online portal, which will support students, parents, and guidance counselors in the college planning and application process for one of the nation’s most established universities.
Rutgers University joins a national network of high schools, community colleges, colleges and universities that have embraced this unique web-based service to simplify the “going to college” process for everyone engaged in student success. Designed with customized online tools for each user category, Connect! provides one centralized platform that, for the first time, systematically connects secondary education to higher education. Rutgers University will enhance high school electronic delivery of application materials including transcripts, and also begin meeting new students through Connect!’s secure, gated community.

Rutgers joins a national campaign to provide high schools the Connect! platform at no charge to students, parents or guidance counselors. Other progressive colleges committed to this initiative include University of Connecticut, University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Missouri State University. By sponsoring the implementation of Connect! in high schools, Rutgers University demonstrates its commitment to democratizing college admissions and creating greater access to higher education through new technology.
