Frank Vastola Joins ConnectEdu Team as Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing

Boston, MA – July 23, 2007 - ConnectEdu, a national education technology company, is pleased to announce the addition of Frank Vastola as Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing to oversee the growth of Connect! – the company’s college and career planning web portal. Vastola brings over 20 years of experience from across the areas of higher education administration and related technology sales, marketing and sales management to his new position with ConnectEdu.

As the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY, Vastola was responsible for all of the institution’s marketing, recruitment, admission and financial aid operations. Following D’Youville, he then served as the Director of Alumni Admission Programs at Canisius College, also in Buffalo, NY. Vastola then became the Director of Admissions at Jacksonville University in Florida. At Jacksonville University, Vastola was the chief admissions and senior marketing officer responsible for all undergraduate marketing, recruitment, and admissions functions. As a higher education professional, Vastola has developed and implemented successful regional, national and international recruitment, marketing and enrollment strategies while serving at these institutions.

For the past eleven years, Vastola has held various sales and sales management positions in both emerging and leading higher education technology companies. He started at Applied Business Technologies, Inc. (ABT) as a Regional Sales Manager and eventually served as Regional Vice President for Sales. Vastola contributed to the growth of ABT leading to its acquisition by Systems and Computer Technology Corporation, Inc. (SCT) in 2002. Since the acquisition, he has served in both ERP sales and sales management roles for SCT and SunGard Higher Education, following the acquisition of SCT by SunGard in 2004.

In addition to Vastola’s work experience in the areas of higher education administration and technology, he also serves as a consultant in the areas of higher education marketing/recruitment and technology. Vastola holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from the State University of New York.
